Summary:
A well-established and growing heavy plant company specialising in the supply, servicing, repair and maintenance of a wide range of heavy plant and construction equipment. Supporting customers across multiple sectors, they pride themselves on delivering high-quality aftersales support and are looking to recruit a Parts & Service Co-ordinator to join their busy operations team.
Position Summary:
An exciting opportunity for an organised and proactive Parts & Service Co-ordinator to support the day-to-day running of a busy service department. Acting as the central point of communication between customers, engineers and suppliers, you will coordinate service activities, manage parts availability and ensure repairs and maintenance work are delivered efficiently. This is an ideal role for someone with previous experience in a service, parts or engineering environment who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-focused position.
Key Duties:
Coordinate workshop and field service activities to ensure efficient scheduling of engineers
Manage customer enquiries relating to servicing, repairs and parts requirements
Raise job cards, quotations, purchase orders and invoices accurately
Source and order parts from suppliers, ensuring availability for planned work
Liaise with customers, engineers and suppliers to provide updates on repairs and service progress
Monitor outstanding jobs and ensure work is completed within agreed timescales
Maintain accurate service records, parts information and customer documentation
Assist with stock control, inventory management and parts replenishment
Process warranty claims and associated documentation where required
Support the Service Manager with daily administration and operational reporting
Identify opportunities to promote parts and aftersales services whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards
Person Profile/
Experience:
Previous experience within a Parts Co-ordinator, Service Co-ordinator, Service Administrator or similar role
Experience with in heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles or a similar engineering environment would be advantageous
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong customer service and communication skills
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and service management systems
Mechanical awareness and an understanding of engineering environments would be beneficial
Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Positive, flexible and proactive approach with excellent team-working skills
Qualifications:
Full UK Driving License
Relevant experience within a service, parts or engineering environment
Competent using Microsoft Office and service management systems
IBCOS Gold experience (desirable)
