Operational Procurement Team Leader

Role Overview

As the Operational Procurement Team Leader you will be based in our busy operational Procurement team, supporting the Head of Local Delivery in maintaining the Oracle P2P system to enable effective purchase of goods and services across the Trust. You will manage daily maintenance, security and administration of the Procurement aspect of the Oracle application, which standardises purchases, improves patient safety, and delivers cost efficiencies.

You will also support the integration of existing systems with the new Inventory Management System currently in implementation.

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical, contracting colleagues, suppliers, system support and other Trust teams.
• Develop and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the Trust’s Procurement system.
• Ensure purchase orders are placed in line with the Trust’s Standing Financial Instructions to achieve best value and improve patient safety.
• Investigate and evaluate new and existing sources of supply for all products and services, including NHS Supply Chain, Crown Commercial Services and other Procurement Collaborative Purchasing Hubs.

The role is based at Russells Hall Hospital – Dudley.
