With a healthy order book stretching over the next five years, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable company offering genuine long-term job security.
Whether you're an experienced Maintenance Engineer or a trainee with industrial experience and a strong technical mindset, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenance across a busy steel manufacturing environment, ensuring machinery and production equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery.
* Responding quickly to breakdowns and completing reactive repairs.
* Fault finding and diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
* Assisting with machinery servicing, repairs and continuous improvement projects.
* Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
* Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
* Supporting the senior Maintenance Engineer with day-to-day maintenance activities.
* Contributing ideas to improve equipment reliability and factory efficiency.
What we're looking for

Ideally you'll have:
* Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, or
* A qualification or practical experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering.
* A practical, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Good common sense and a positive attitude towards learning.
* Strong reliability and excellent timekeeping.
* Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Applicants looking for a trainee opportunity should have previous industrial experience together with a strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Overtime
There is regular overtime available due to the busy nature of the business.
Overtime is paid at:
* Time and one-third during the week.
* Time and a half on Saturdays.
Candidates should be flexible to support occasional early starts and Saturday working when required.
What's on offer?
* £14.50 per hour.
* Permanent position with the company from day one.
* Excellent overtime earning potential.
* 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
* Company pension scheme.
* Free on-site parking.
* Company bonus scheme (performance dependent).
* Long-term job security with an established business experiencing sustained growth
