We are seeking an experienced, commercially minded General Manager to lead a busy, multi-
This is a hands-on leadership role for an operator who understands the realities of a 7-day,
weekend-weighted business and is comfortable taking full ownership of operations, people,
and financial control.
The role suits a GM who brings structure, discipline, and clarity to complex operations, while
maintaining consistently high standards of customer experience and team engagement.
Key Accountabilities- Ownership of weekly operational performance reporting
- Control of payroll spend and rota alignment to demand
- Clear distinction between fixed, variable, and exceptional costs
- Active margin protection and cost management
- Day-to-day operational leadership across all attractions and F&B
- Ensuring attraction uptime, safety, and operational readiness
- Oversight of maintenance schedules and supplier relationships
- Consistent opening, closing, and handover procedures
- Ensuring venue compliance, including health and safety standards Customer Experience & Systems
- Ownership of booking systems, rota, and capacity management
- Clear handling of customer queries, refunds, and complaints
- Consistent internal and external communication standards
- Strong rota and payroll discipline
- Clear documentation of processes and procedures
- No reliance on undocumented or “in-head” knowledge
- Weekend and peak-period management presence
- Calm, fact-based leadership under pressure
- Weekly operational reporting with clear commercial commentary
- Tracking of key performance indicators, including:
- Payroll %
- Spend per head
- Footfall and conversion
- F &B performance
All reports must be accurate, timely, and decision-ready.
Candidate ProfileYou will bring:
- Proven experience as a General Manager or senior operational leader within leisure, hospitality, or attractions
- Strong understanding of UK payroll, rota planning, and employment practices
- Confidence managing multi-disciplinary teams in a live operational environment
- A practical, organised, and commercially aware leadership style
- The ability to lead from the front while enforcing standards consistently
- Not an administrative or desk-based role
- Not a culture-only role without financial accountability
- Not suited to candidates uncomfortable with ownership and responsibility
