Health & Safety Officer

We are excited to be recruiting for a Health & Safety Officer for our Client based in Stourbridge.

Working on a rolling 6 month contract basis, this is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone to join a hugely successful, employee focused organisation.

• Regularly review HSE updates & advise management on changes impacting the business.
• Build competence across the business.
• Complete & conduct COSHH assessments, general risk assessments & safe systems of work; ensuring they reflect current operations.
• Perform regular site walk arounds - identifying & correcting issues found.
• Manage commissioning & documentation.
• Drive shopfloor improvements.
• Deliver training & Toolbox talks.
• Monitor & enforce compliance. (reporting issues & following these up)
• * This is a reporting and advisory role - prepare reports for management on H&S performance, trends & recommendations.

• In-depth knowledge of current health and safety legislation and regulations (e.g. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH, PUWER, Machinery Directive/Supply of Machinery Safety Regulations).
