Assistant Manager – Full Time

We are looking to recruit a new Assistant Manager for our shop in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. The role is permanent and full‑time, requiring 43 hours across 5 days per week, usually including at least one weekend shift.

Pay: £31,449.60 – £32,648.16 per annum (43‑hour contract)

• Work closely with the shop manager to run an efficient shop and deliver excellent customer service
• Develop the team of retail assistants through coaching, mentoring and feedback
• Act as shop manager in their absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are processed quickly and shop routines maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop
• Motivate and guide the team to control operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll
• Support the shop manager with recruitment and induction of new team members

• Trustworthy and reliable – an important part of a small team
• Some experience as a manager, team leader or supervisor
• Completion of a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) – subject to satisfactory background check
