Dimensional Inspector – Aerospace Manufacturing

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 + paid overtime

Location:

Dudley (easily commutable from Tipton, Wolverhampton & surrounding areas)

We’re looking for a skilled Dimensional Inspector to join a leading aerospace manufacturer where accuracy is critical and standards are uncompromising. This is a hands-on role in a modern, high-spec manufacturing environment, ideal for someone who takes pride in getting the details right.

The Role

As a Dimensional Inspector, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring complex aerospace components meet exact specifications:

* Inspect precision-engineered aerospace components against tight tolerances

* Confidently read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

* Use a broad range of inspection equipment to verify dimensional accuracy

* Work closely with production and quality teams to resolve non-conformances quickly

* Ensure all components meet strict aerospace quality standards before release

Inspection Equipment You’ll Use

* Micrometers, calipers, verniers, height gauges

* Faro Arm and Keyence image measurement systems

* Portable and fixed CMMs (probe and video – full training available if required)

What We’re Looking For

* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (essential)

* Practical experience using manual inspection and metrology equipment

* Background in dimensional inspection, quality inspection, or precision manufacturing

* High attention to detail with a proactive, problem-solving mindset

* Willingness to learn and develop skills on advanced inspection systems
