Machine Shop Shift Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor / Production Supervisor

Machine Shop Shift Supervisor required to join a heavy engineering and manufacturing business based in West Birmingham.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Shop Shift Supervisor to join an established and well-respected manufacturer. Due to ongoing operational requirements, the business is looking for an experienced supervisor to lead and coordinate machine shop operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a busy machine shop environment, working closely with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams in a company that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Package:
£36,658 per annum (including shift allowance)

Machine Shop Shift Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor / Production Supervisor Role:
Plan, organise, and supervise machine shop operations, including labour and work orders, to achieve daily production and on-time delivery targets.
Maximise productivity and efficiency by monitoring workflow, WIP levels, cycle times, and ensuring standard working practices are followed.
Ensure all parts are manufactured in line with approved quality standards, route cards, drawings, and 5S requirements.
Drive continuous improvement by working closely with Manufacturing, Project, Quality, and Maintenance teams to improve processes and minimise downtime.
Maintain accurate timesheets, manage consumables, and uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and departmental discipline.
Based fully onsite in West Birmingham The Ideal Machine Shop Shift Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor / Production Supervisor Role:
Previous experience in a supervisory role

Experience in a similar manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes

Apprenticeship in a manufacturing or engineering discipline

IOSH certification (desirable)

Flexible and happy to work outside of contracted hours if needed

Commutable to West Birmingham
