Turret Punch & Press Brake Operator – Evening Shift
Location:
Brierley Hill - DY5
Salary: £14.50 per hour basic / £17.00 per hour including shift allowance
Job Type: Full-time - Permanent
Hours:
Monday to Friday (2:00pm – 10:00pm)
About The Company
Our client are a well-established sheet metal fabrication company supplying high-quality components and assemblies to a range of industries across the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking 2x experienced Turret Punch & Press Brake Operators to join their team on their new evening shift.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for setting and operating CNC turret punch presses and brake presses to manufacture precision sheet metal parts to engineering drawings and production requirements. This is a hands-on role suited to a reliable sheet metal worker who can work independently and maintain high quality standards on a late shift.
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate CNC turret punch press and brake press machinery
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
* Select and install correct tooling for each operation
* Check parts for dimensional accuracy and quality compliance
* Perform routine machine checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance
* Identify and report faults, defects, or material issues
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area
* Meet production targets and deadlines
Requirements
* Proven experience operating turret punch presses and press brakes (CNC essential)
* Ability to read technical/engineering drawings
* Sheet metal fabrication knowledge
* Strong attention to detail and quality
* Ability to work independently on an evening shift
* Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of manufacturing health & safety practices
Pay & Benefits
* £14.50 per hour basic rate (£17 per hour with shift allowance).
