CNC Machinist; Day Shift

Position: CNC Machinist (Permanent Day Shift)
CNC Machinist — Milling & Boring (Heidenhain) | Dudley | Permanent Day Shift

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and flourishing precision sub-contract machining business based in Dudley. This is a genuinely stable, growing manufacturer with a strong order book and a skilled, close-knit team — and they are looking for experienced CNC Machinists to join them on a permanent day shift.

If you are a skilled CNC Miller or Borer with Heidenhain experience and you want a permanent role with a company that values its people and has the work to back it up, this is well worth a look.

The role:

* Setting, programming and operating CNC milling machines and horizontal borers

* Medium to large milling and boring work in a precision sub-contract environment

* Working confidently from engineering drawings — machining symbols, tolerances and geometric tolerances

* Checking your own work using measuring equipment including micrometers and slip gauges

* Working as part of a small, skilled team and supporting the wider needs of the business as required

What we're looking for:

* Proven medium to large milling and boring experience

* Heidenhain programming preferred — Fanuc knowledge also beneficial

* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances and geometric tolerancing

* Confident setting and programming, not just operating

* Experience with in a sub-contract machining environment

* An engineering apprenticeship, CNC machining qualification, or proven demonstrable experience

* Reliable, flexible and takes pride in producing quality work
