Production Manager

Most production jobs ask you to maintain what is already there. This one asks you to build it.

You would be the first dedicated Production Manager here. The role has been shared across the team for years, and the business is now ready to hand it to one person. That person sets the standards.

The company is employee-owned, so the efficiency you create feeds back to the people who create it, including you.

You will report straight to senior leadership and help shape who gets hired next as weekend operations grow.

• £50,000 to £60,000, with more for the right person
• 34 days holiday, including bank holidays

You will take charge of the entire production operation, including main and ancillary lines, across a busy site.

• Strip out wasteful changeovers and clean‑downs
• Drive efficiency and lower cost per unit
• Lead from the floor and lift standards across the team

Hours are mainly Monday to Friday, roughly 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with some give and take. Production runs 6:00 am Monday to 2:00 pm Saturday, so occasional flexibility helps.

• A track record as a Production Manager or Manufacturing Manager in food
• The presence to lead from the front and challenge poor habits
• A practical eye for scheduling, efficiency and output
• Comfort running a broad, multi‑area operation
