Manufacturing Operative - Roller Assembly

We are currently Manufacturing Operatives for the Roller Department to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture of components in accordance with drawings and customer specifications.

Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm Friday 7am-1pm

Key Responsibilities:

* Grooving, Tapering, Lagging and Assembly of Roller components in accordance with the drawings and customer specifications

* Reporting any defective tooling, jigs, machines and fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.

* Meet or exceed piecework quotas by completing a specific number of units or tasks within a set time frame.

* Responsibilities are listed in the Quality Control Manual and procedures to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 requirements, which are the inspection, identification, and packaging of company products

* Responsibilities as listed in the Health and Safety Policy

* Maintaining a high level of housekeeping

* Assistance in working in other departments when necessary

* Maintaining IHASCO training when necessary

Requirements:

* Previous experience working with a factory setting or engineering environment

* Reliability and good communication skills.

* Good attention to detail

* Ability to troubleshoot

* Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
