A Fabricator / Welder is required for a manufacturing company in the Brierley Hill area. You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and repairing steel components and equipment used within a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves MIG & ARC welding, working from engineering drawings, operating workshop machinery and carrying out general fabrication duties.
The duties of the role include;
- MIG & ARC welding of mild steel plate, sections and fabricated components
- Fabricating and assembling steelwork from engineering drawings
- Flame cutting using oxy-acetylene equipment
- Drilling, tapping, grinding and preparing materials for fabrication
- Operating workshop machinery including saws, guillotines, drills and overhead cranes
- Repairing and modifying plant equipment and steel structures A counterbalance forklift truck licence would be beneficial but is not essential.
The role is -
7:30am - 3:15pm, Monday - Friday
Paying £14.87 per hour
Regular overtime available, paid at 1.5x and 2x
Temp to perm
