Are you an experienced CNC Miller looking for a role where your skills are genuinely valued?
We're recruiting a Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a long-established engineering company specialising in the manufacture of forging dies, tooling and precision engineered components for customers across a range of industries.
This is a varied role where no two jobs are the same. You'll be producing high-quality, one-off and small batch components, programming directly from engineering drawings and seeing projects through from start to finish.

As part of a highly skilled machine shop, you'll be responsible for producing precision-engineered forging products and tooling to exact customer specifications.
Your duties will include:
- Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
- Creating and editing CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
. - Manufacturing forging dies, tooling and bespoke engineered components.
- Producing one-off and small batch work to tight tolerances.
- Selecting tooling, setting machine offsets and proving out new programs.
- Inspecting finished components to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
- Working closely with the production team to meet customer deadlines.
- Previous experience as a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator.
- Experience using both Fanuc and Heidenhain controls is essential.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience manufacturing forging dies, tooling or precision engineered components would be highly advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- £15.50 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
- Overtime available.
