We're recruiting a Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a long-established engineering company specialising in the manufacture of forging dies, tooling and precision engineered components for customers across a range of industries.

This is a varied role where no two jobs are the same. You'll be producing high-quality, one-off and small batch components, programming directly from engineering drawings and seeing projects through from start to finish.

As part of a highly skilled machine shop, you'll be responsible for producing precision-engineered forging products and tooling to exact customer specifications.

Your duties will include:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines.
• Creating and editing CNC programs using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  .
• Manufacturing forging dies, tooling and bespoke engineered components.
• Producing one-off and small batch work to tight tolerances.
• Selecting tooling, setting machine offsets and proving out new programs.
• Inspecting finished components to ensure the highest quality standards.
• Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Working closely with the production team to meet customer deadlines.

• Previous experience as a CNC Miller – Programmer / Setter / Operator.
• Experience using both Fanuc and Heidenhain controls is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience manufacturing forging dies, tooling or precision engineered components would be highly advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
• A positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• £15.50 - £20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm.
• Overtime available.
