Fabricator Welder
Location: Kingswinford, West Midlands
Salary: £16.00 - £17.00 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Working Hours
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
- Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
- Overtime available and paid at 1.5x after 37 hours.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a well-established, ISO-certified engineering business based in Kingswinford.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-specification, heavy engineering projects supplying industries including Nuclear, Subsea, Oil & Gas, Mining, Scientific Research and Power Generation
.
You'll be joining a skilled fabrication team producing high-quality structural steel fabrications in a modern manufacturing environment where quality, precision and safety are at the heart of everything they do.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate heavy steel components from engineering drawings.
- MIG and TIG weld carbon and stainless steel to a high standard.
- Manufacture structural fabrications including beams, channels, columns and angles.
- Work with material thicknesses ranging from 6mm up to 100mm
. - Safely operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Ensure all work meets customer specifications and quality standards.
- Produce welds suitable for NDT inspection where required (DPI, MPI & UT).
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Fabricator Welder or Plater Fabricator.
- Strong MIG and TIG welding experience.
- Experience working with heavy fabrication and structural steel.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
- Experience using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Good understanding of welding quality standards and inspection processes.
- Ideally hold, or be capable of obtaining,
BS EN ISO 9606-1 welding certification. - A positive attitude with excellent attention to detail.
- £16.00 - £17.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 37 hours.
