Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a new opportunity with an established manufacturing business? We’re recruiting a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join a busy heavy engineering/foundry environment, keeping critical production machinery operating safely and efficiently. Day and night shifts available, with a £35,000 basic salary, £20 per hour overtime, and 25 days’ holiday + bank holidays.

- Monday-Friday day shift - Typically: 05:00 - 15:00 or 07:00 - 17:00
- Monday-Thursday 10-hour night shift operation

- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM), routine machinery checks & lubrication.
- Mechanical breakdown response, fault diagnosis & root-cause identification.
- Service & repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission & industrial machinery systems.
- Installation, inspection, repair & replacement of mechanical components.
- Support with fabrication, welding, machining & bench fitting.
- Work closely with production teams and the wider engineering team to resolve issues quickly.
- Maintain accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Ensure high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
- Experience with in heavy engineering, manufacturing or foundry environments.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding skills and experience maintaining industrial machinery..
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
