Yard Operative

Manpower UK seeks a Yard Operative for a temporary assignment in Stourbridge, West Midlands, paying up to £13.31 per hour. Working Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm, you will support daily operations at a recycling facility. Duties involve receiving food waste deliveries, performing goods-in checks, cleaning vehicle tyres and heavy machinery, plus general labouring across the site. This physically demanding role suits those comfortable with hands-on industrial work.

Prior experience in waste management or similar environments is advantageous but not essential. You must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions. Immediate starts are available for suitable applicants.

Manpower is recruiting Temporary Yard Labourers on behalf of our client, a well-established company within the recycling and waste management industry based in Stourbridge, West Midlands. This is a physically demanding role and would suit candidates who enjoy hands-on work in an industrial environment. You will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy recycling facility.

• Receiving and processing food waste deliveries
• Completing goods-in checks and signing off deliveries
• Cleaning vehicle tyres and heavy plant machinery before they leave site
• General labouring duties across the yard and site
• Litter picking and maintaining site cleanliness
• Cleaning spillages and ensuring a safe working environment
• Supporting site operations as required

• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties throughout the day
• Comfortable working in a waste and recycling environment, including exposure to strong odours
• Reliable, hardworking, and health and safety conscious
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
• Previous experience in a labouring, yard operative, or recycling role would be advantageous

• Telehandler experience would be beneficial, although full training can be provided and this is not essential

• Competitive pay rate of £13.38 per hour
• Monday to Friday working pattern with no weekends
