Position: Waste Management Operative with FLT
Overview This role supports the safe and efficient handling, processing and movement of waste materials on site. The operative will use FLT equipment to transport waste, load/unload vehicles, maintain site cleanliness and follow environmental and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities Waste sorting Separating recyclable, general and industrial waste according to site guidelines. FLT operation Safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move waste containers, pallets and bulk materials. Loading & unloading Assisting with vehicle loading, skip movement and waste transfer operations. Site cleanliness Maintaining a clean, safe working environment across waste bays, yard areas and storage zones. Manual handling Lifting, moving and processing waste materials using correct techniques.

Record keeping Completing basic paperwork, waste transfer notes and logging material movements. Health & Safety compliance Following PPE requirements, environmental procedures and safe working practices at all times. Teamwork Working closely with supervisors, drivers and other operatives to maintain smooth site operations. Requirements Counterbalance

Experience with License (In-house/Out of date/ In date). Previous experience in waste management , recycling , yard work or warehouse operations preferred. Comfortable working in an outdoor/industrial environment. Good awareness of Health & Safety and environmental procedures. Ability to work double-day shifts and operate safely under pressure. Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions accurately.

Hours:

Must be able to work 7.30 - 4pm Mon
- Fri for approx 4 weeks thereafter will work 9.30- 6pm Monday
- Friday This role is ongoing temporary until approximately 2027 when possibility for a permanent role.
