This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable manufacturer with a strong order book, significant investment plans and a long-term commitment to engineering excellence. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving plant reliability across a busy manufacturing operation.
Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities Diagnose and repair faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems Maintain gearboxes, bearings, cylinders, valves, pumps and rotating equipment Perform welding, cutting, grinding and general fabrication work Support TPM and continuous improvement activities Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime Contribute to site safety, reliability and operational improvements Why Join?
£35,000 basic salary Overtime paid at £20/hour Sunday overtime paid at £33.65/hour Permanent day shift Four-day working week Stable employer with long-term growth plans Significant ongoing investment in plant and equipment Strong overtime earning potential Flexible holiday booking outside of shutdown periods Engineering-focused environment with genuine development opportunities What We're Looking For We're interested in engineers from heavy manufacturing, foundry, steel, quarrying, aggregates, recycling, cement, process manufacturing or similar industrial environments.
Ideally you'll have experience with:
Hydraulics, valves and cylinders Bearings and rotating equipment Pneumatic systems Gearboxes and transmissions Pumps, conveyors and industrial machinery Welding, cutting and grinding You'll also have:
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Experience in planned and reactive maintenance Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge A hands-on approach and strong commitment to safety
Experience with in a foundry environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
