We are currently recruiting for a Trainee Upholstery Operative to join an established manufacturing business based in Dudley, DY6.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to learn a skilled trade and develop a long-term career within the upholstery and manufacturing industry.

No previous upholstery experience is required, as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, practical and keen to learn.

• Learn upholstery techniques and manufacturing processes.
• Prepare and cut upholstery materials.
• Use hand tools and upholstery equipment.
• Measure materials accurately and work to specifications.
• Assist experienced upholsterers with day-to-day production.
• Check finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
• Follow company procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• Work as part of a busy production team.
• Develop skills and knowledge with full training and support.

• A quick learner who is keen to develop new skills.
• Practical and comfortable working with their hands.
• Able to follow instructions accurately.
• Have good attention to detail.

Previous experience in upholstery, furniture, manufacturing, sewing, assembly or another practical environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

Rate of pay will be discussed imum wage applies.

6am to 3pm 45 hours a week
