Pertemps Dudley Industrial seeks a Guillotine Operator in Cradley, paying £13 to £14 hourly on a full-time, temp-to-perm basis. Working Monday through Friday, 8am until 4pm, the successful candidate will set and run guillotine machinery, cutting sheet metal, steel and similar stock to precise measurements.
A valid overhead crane licence is essential, as lifting equipment must be used safely when moving heavy items. Applicants should read engineering drawings, check finished dimensions and maintain machinery. Prior experience within manufacturing or engineering is expected, along with a strong regard for health and safety on the shop floor.

- Operating and setting guillotine machinery
- Cutting sheet metal, steel and other materials to required sizes
- Reading measurements, drawings and job specifications
- Setting machinery and checking dimensions
- Operating an overhead crane to lift, move and position materials
- Loading and unloading materials safely
- Moving raw materials and finished products around the factory
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring accurate production
- Following production schedules and manufacturing instructions
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Complying with Health & Safety procedures and company policies
- Working as part of a busy production, manufacturing and engineering team
- Previous experience as a Guillotine Operator, Guillotine Machine Operator, Sheet Metal Worker or Production Operative
- Experience operating industrial guillotines within a manufacturing, engineering, fabrication or sheet metal environment
- A valid Overhead Crane Licence / Overhead Crane Certificate
- Experience using lifting equipment to safely move heavy materials
- Ability to work from measurements, specifications and engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes
- Good awareness of workplace Health & Safety
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- £13 - £14 per hour
- Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
