Are you a Plant Manager, Technical Manager or Foundry Manager looking for a role where you can take real ownership of manufacturing performance and lead a team to drive measurable improvements in quality, yield and scrap reduction?
On offer is a key leadership position within a well-established heavy engineering company, where you will have the authority to implement process improvements, support new product introduction and build a "right first time" culture across the technical function.
This company are known for producing quality cast components and investing in proven process control and problem-solving methods. Due to continued demand and a focus on improving margins and productivity, they are now looking to add a hands-on Technical/Plant Manager to support ongoing improvement and growth projects.
In this role you will lead Process Engineers and lab/melting personnel, coordinate scrap investigations and root cause analysis, and ensure testing and process controls meet customer requirements.
This role would suit a technical manufacturing leader from a foundry / metals / casting background, looking for genuine responsibility, the scope to influence change, and the chance to develop and mentor a team.
The Role- Lead the technical function across foundry operations (days-based role, 40 hours per week)
- Drive scrap reduction, yield improvement and continuous improvement projects
- Oversee process control tools, calibration and testing protocols to meet customer requirements
- Technical/production leadership experience within a foundry / casting / metallurgical manufacturing environment
- Strong continuous improvement and root cause analysis capability (quality, scrap and corrective actions)
- Comfortable leading and developing a team in a hands-on, high-accountability role
