Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment in the local area. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, is physically fit and is looking for a stable Monday to Friday position. Full training will be provided on the processes and equipment required.
The role
As a Production Operative, you will be responsible for:
Loading and unloading components from industrial furnaces
Following set processes and timings to ensure components are processed correctly
Moving components into cooling systems safely and within specified time frames
Carrying out hardness checks on finished components
Checking components for roundness and making adjustments where required
Assisting with assembly of components between production runs
Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working area
Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Supporting the wider production team as required
About you
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or industrial environment
Is physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
Can safely lift 25kg+
Is comfortable working in a hot and physically demanding environment
Has good attention to detail and can follow set processes accurately
Takes health and safety seriously
Has a reliable and positive attitude
Is comfortable working as part of a team
Previous experience working around machinery or industrial equipment would be advantageous
Working hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:15pm
Friday: 7:30am – 12pm
Pay: £13 per hour
