Childrens Continence Nurse

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Dudley Children's Continence Service to support our nurse led team in community clinics. The successful nurse will have experience working with school aged children with bladder and bowel problems involving completing holistic assessments and developing personalised plans.

The service will offer both clinical and managerial supervision in order to support the individual.

• To support the clinical lead in developing a paediatric community continence team in the Dudley locality?
• To help children and young people achieve complete continence or to manage the condition discreetly and effectively if full control is clinically not possible.?
• To treat children and young people with both bladder and bowel problems.?
• Prevent unplanned hospitalisation for constipation and urinary infections.?
• Responsible for assessing, developing and implementing specialist continence care programmes in community and clinic settings for children and young people, 5-19 years, within Dudley Support with the promotion of continence and management of incontinence with this defined age group?
• Develop and implement education and training programmes for defined age group, carers and relevant community staff - School Nurses, Health Visitors, gps
