About

The Role

About The Role Due to internal promotion, a rare opportunity has become available at our Dudley Park Manufacturing Plant for a qualified NPI & Field Quality Engineer. In this role you will connect new product development with real-world product performance. You will represent Quality throughout the product development and commercial launch process, bringing the Voice of the Consumer, market data and service insights into new product projects and continuous improvement activities.

The role focuses on identifying quality risks early, defining clear quality deliverables, ensuring robust product verification and validation, and driving field quality issues to effective closure. The overall goal is to deliver safe, reliable products and ensure a positive consumer experience. You will act as a key interface between the wider Quality organisation and key stakeholders across R&D, Product Line, Manufacturing, Engineering, Product Care, Consumer Service, Sales, market organisations and plant teams.

You will translate quality requirements and field insights into practical actions from the early project stages through ramp-up and across the product lifecycle.

What You’ll Do

Act as the interface between the project team and the Quality organisation, ensuring effective alignment on project scope, quality requirements, risks, priorities and quality plans throughout the development process. Lead and coordinate Quality activities and deliverables for assigned new product development projects and represent the agreed Quality position at project checkpoints and other relevant project meetings. Collect, analyse and translate consumer, service and market insights into quality priorities and targets, product requirements and project quality objectives.

Define and coordinate verification and validation plans covering product performance, robustness, usability and real-use conditions. Actively contribute to preventive quality activities, including DFMEA, PSRA, PFMEA, compliance reviews, Process Control Plans and production readiness assessments. Evaluate test results and quality data to verify that product and process requirements are met and support evidence-based project decisions. Identify product and process risks early and support the definition and implementation of effective mitigation actions.

Build strong knowledge of the assigned products, their use, serviceability, repairability and performance in the destination market. Provide clear quality data and product information to the relevant teams and market organisations. Identify and quickly escalation early quality or safety warnings and possible quality disruption events. Lead quality reporting for the assigned product areas and turn field data into clear improvement priorities.

Coordinate the return and technical analysis of defective products and components from the market. Initiate and follow root cause analysis activities, ensuring agreed actions are completed and their effectiveness is verified. Plan and carry out field tests and use the results to improve current products and support new product development. Support Consumer Service with training, troubleshooting, serviceability and repairability topics, including Service Bulletins.

Work cross-functionally to solve quality issues and deploy effective solutions. Use practical quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, SPC and Lean methods. Capture lessons learned, share good practices and reuse them in future projects and Product Line quality plans. Keep quality documentation clear, complete and up to date, and promote common quality methods and standards across functions and plants.
