Retail Assistant - Part Time, Evenings & Weekends

Job Overview

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Brierley Hill, West Midlands. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 16 hours over 4 days per week, including weekends.

Please note that you must be available for shifts on weekday evenings and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

  16 hours across 4 days per week.
• Pay: £10.95 – £12.81 per hour (depending on age).

• Make all customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello.
• Help customers find the items they are looking for.
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, with a friendly thank you and goodbye.
• Handle stock with care, working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for purchase.
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work.
• Enjoy being busy – jumping from deliveries to serving at the till, helping customers on the shop floor, and completing cleaning and stock rotation routines.
• Reliability: an important part of a small team; dependability on each shift.
• Flexibility: willing to adapt shifts when teammates are on holiday; roster planned three weeks in advance, with external commitments considered.
