A leading distributor within the timber, hardwood and panel products sector is seeking an experienced Timber Sales Manager to lead a successful internal sales function and drive continued commercial growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with strong leadership experience and a background in timber, builders merchants, hardwoods, sheet materials or related construction products.

As Timber Sales Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a busy sales team, ensuring revenue and margin targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional customer service levels.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing an established sales team
• Driving sales performance and profitability across timber product ranges
• Building and maintaining key customer relationships
• Identifying new business opportunities and market growth areas
• Managing stock profiles in line with customer demand
• Monitoring sales activity, margins and commercial performance
• Producing reports and analysing market trends
• Working closely with senior management to implement growth strategies

The successful applicant will have:

• Previous experience in a Sales Manager, Branch Manager or Commercial Manager role
• Strong knowledge of timber, hardwood, sheet materials or related building products
• A proven track record of achieving sales and margin targets
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities
• The ability to build long-term customer relationships
• Excellent organisational and communication skills

• £50,000 - £60,000 basic salary
