💷 Salary: £44,000 - £54,000 per annum (DOE)

As an HGV Mechanic - Used Vehicle Preparation, you will play a key role in ensuring all vehicles are fully inspected, repaired, and presented to the highest standards prior to sale. You'll be working within a professional, well-equipped workshop alongside a skilled and dedicated team.

• Carry out detailed inspections and preparation of HGVs prior to resale
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools
• Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and component replacements
• Ensure all vehicles are safe, roadworthy, and meet quality standards
• Maintain accurate service and repair records
• Work collaboratively to meet preparation deadlines
• Follow all health & safety procedures and keep the workshop clean and organised

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
• Competent with diagnostic equipment and software
• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or Heavy Vehicle Engineering (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous)

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to travel to other sites occasionally
• Flexibility for occasional evening or weekend work when required
