Regional IRIS Advocate Educator

Location:

Black Country (Sandwell, Walsall, Dudley & Wolverhampton)
Salary: £25,590 - £27,873.84 (dependent on experience)
Hours and

Contract:

Permanent 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Key Responsibilities

Deliver domestic abuse training and ongoing support to GP practices and healthcare professionals.
Build and maintain effective relationships with GP practices and partner agencies.
Manage referrals and maintain accurate case records.
Conduct risk and needs assessments for individuals experiencing domestic abuse.
Provide advocacy, safety planning, emotional support and practical advice to service users.
Support clients to access appropriate services, including safeguarding, IDVA and MARAC referrals where required.
Attend multi-agency meetings and represent the service professionally.
Raise awareness of domestic abuse and contribute to newsletters, reports and service development.
Collect and analyse referral and outcome data for reporting purposes.

Essential Requirements

Experience supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse.
Experience undertaking risk assessments, safety planning and case management.
Experience working with vulnerable adults and children, including safeguarding.
Experience managing complex cases involving issues such as mental health, substance misuse and trauma.
Experience working in partnership with external agencies and professionals.
Experience delivering training or presentations to professionals.
Knowledge of domestic abuse, safeguarding legislation and risk management.
Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
Ability to manage a caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital systems.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Eligible to work in the UK.
