Salary: £51,356 to £54,495 per annum (Grade 12)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Child Friendly Dudley is recruiting Advanced Social Work Practitioners to support children, families and the wider social work team. The role involves managing a caseload of children requiring high‑skill interventions, modelling best practice, coaching colleagues and engaging in reflective supervision.
Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of children and families in need of advanced social work support.
- Provide coaching, supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students.
- Develop and implement evidence‑based interventions to improve outcomes for children.
- Champion and model excellent practice, challenging colleagues to advance professional standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic services.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Family Safeguarding model and the directorate’s restorative practices.
- Registered social worker (SCW, RCSW or equivalent) with at least 12 months post‑qualifying experience.
- Significant statutory social work experience working with children and families.
- Demonstrated ability to intervene in areas of poor practice, lead improvement initiatives and develop team members’ professional practice.
- Experience formally supporting others in a social work or social care role, including training of students or ASYE social workers.
- Strong communication, organisational and reflective supervision skills.
