What you will do
  • Undertake screening and triage of safeguarding referrals, making timely, evidence-based decisions on thresholds and intervention pathways.
  • Assess and analyse risk using multi-agency information to inform Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries under the Children Act 1989.
  • Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases, ensuring effective safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and families.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to share information lawfully and coordinate safeguarding responses.
  • Provide professional advice, mentoring, and informal supervision to social workers and support staff within the team.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent)
  • Evidence of continued professional development
Registration & Compliance
  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
  • Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and relevant statutory guidance
