Experience:
Work in a dynamic, multi-agency environment where no two days are the same, broadening your professional horizons.
- Undertake screening and triage of safeguarding referrals, making timely, evidence-based decisions on thresholds and intervention pathways.
- Assess and analyse risk using multi-agency information to inform Section 17 and Section 47 enquiries under the Children Act 1989.
- Manage a caseload of complex child protection cases, ensuring effective safeguarding and positive outcomes for children and families.
- Work collaboratively with partner agencies to share information lawfully and coordinate safeguarding responses.
- Provide professional advice, mentoring, and informal supervision to social workers and support staff within the team.
- Degree in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent)
- Evidence of continued professional development
- Registered with Social Work England
- Enhanced DBS clearance
- Sound knowledge of the Children Act 1989/2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and relevant statutory guidance
