Overview
The post-holder will be joining a supportive and forward‑thinking team that prides itself on continually developing and improving patient care. Clinical and leadership supervision, continuing professional development, and peer supervision are highly valued. There are opportunities for career progression, and many members of the service have secured promotions. The post will have active links and support from both the wider CAMHS Service and professionals within the Trust.

- Provide care to a caseload of young people with various emotional and mental health needs
- Undertake regular assessments of new young people who are new to the service
- Make recommendations about future care for assessed individuals
- Take part in the duty rota
- Collaborate with team members and partner agencies to meet the needs of young people and their families
- Apply a sound understanding of risk assessment and management principles
- Engage in robust supervision and attend peer group meetings
- Participate in personal development and training opportunities
CAMHS professionals support a wide range of mental health needs, including emotional, behavioural, neurodiversity and psychiatric challenges. The multi‑disciplinary team comprises psychologists, specialist nurses, systemic and child psychotherapists, play therapists, drama therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and consultant psychiatrists. The BCHFT CAMHS Service operates across four geographical areas with specialist learning disability and children and young people in care teams.
