Job Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical leadership role at the heart of Adult Social Care in Dudley.

We are seeking an outstanding Adult Social Care Lead – Crisis Intervention, Safeguarding and Integrated Support to drive high-quality safeguarding practice, strengthen crisis response and lead the development of effective interventions that make a real difference to people’s lives.

As part of the senior leadership team, reporting to the Associate Director, you will lead services that respond quickly and effectively when people need support most, stabilising situations, reducing risk and helping people remain safe and independent. You will champion a coordinated, multi-agency approach, ensuring individuals and families are supported to make informed decisions and achieve positive outcomes.

This is a highly influential role where you will shape how safeguarding, crisis intervention and integrated support services are delivered, ensuring services are responsive, person-centred and built around people’s strengths.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and strengthen safeguarding practice across Adult Social Care.
  • Drive effective crisis intervention and preventative approaches that reduce risk and prevent escalation.
  • Ensure high-quality, responsive out-of-hours provision across safeguarding and mental health.
  • Champion multi-disciplinary working to deliver coordinated, timely support.
  • Embed strengths-based, person-centred approaches in complex situations.
  • Use insight and learning to continuously improve safeguarding and service delivery.
  • Build strong partnerships across health, emergency services and the wider system.
  • Lead the development of integrated support pathways that improve outcomes and promote independence.

We are looking for a confident, resilient leader with a passion for safeguarding and improving outcomes for adults  will bring experience of leading in complex environments, along with the ability to make sound decisions, inspire teams and work collaboratively across organisational boundaries.
