3.5 Tonne Driver - Cradley Heath

People Solutions are currently recruiting for 3.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established client based in Cradley Heath.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine temp-to-perm opportunities for growth and progression.

This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as a Van Driver, Delivery Driver, or Multi-Drop Driver within the local area.

Shifts:

• Monday to Friday
• 08:30am starts
• Minimum of eight hours paid per day

Rates of Pay:

• £12.71 per hour (standard rate)• £27,800 per annum salary when you go permanent with the client

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will be:

• Driving delivery vans safely and efficiently to multiple delivery locations
• Conducting daily vehicle checks prior to routes
• Assisting with loading the vehicle when required
• Using handheld scanners to record deliveries
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Carrying out up to 30 drops per day
• Handballing duties as required
• Delivering to local and surrounding areas

Essential Skills

The skills required to be a 3.5 Tonne Driver will be:

• Valid UK Category B (Car/Van) Driving Licence
• Minimum of one year's multi-drop delivery experience
• No more than six penalty points (no IN10, DR10 or DD10 offences)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Reliable, organised, and professional attitude

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial multi-drop delivery experience

Training:

• Industry-related training provided with ongoing support throughout
