The role involves delivering small to medium-sized items to customers and businesses, ensuring all goods are handled with the very best of care and delivered safely and on time.

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver small to medium-sized items to customers and businesses across designated routes.

* Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring items are protected from damage.

* Secure loads safely within the vehicle before departure.

* Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and within agreed time frames.

* Handle fragile or delicate items with care and attention.

* Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.

* Carry out basic vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues.

* Maintain a clean, tidy and roadworthy vehicle.

* Provide a professional and friendly service to customers at delivery locations.

* Follow all relevant road safety, manual handling and health and safety procedures.

Essential Requirements

* A full, valid UK driving licence.

* Previous van driving or delivery experience is preferred.

* Good geographical knowledge and the ability to follow routes efficiently.

* A careful and responsible approach to handling goods.

* Good communication and customer service skills.

* Reliable, punctual and well organised.

* Physically capable of carrying out loading and unloading duties where required.

* A professional attitude and commitment to safe driving practices.
