Location: Aurora & Batavia Regions
Job Type: Part-Time (Afternoon/Evening Hours, Monday–Friday)
Reports to: Site Coordinator

The Youth Development Assistant plays a vital role in supporting daily programming at the Boys & Girls Club. YDAs help create a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where youth can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a great opportunity for individuals passionate about working with kids and making a positive impact in the community.

• Supervise and engage youth in daily activities such as homework help, games, arts, and sports
• Implement program plans and assist with enrichment activities
• Promote positive behavior and help manage conflict using trauma-informed approaches
• Build meaningful relationships with youth, families, and fellow staff
• Maintain a safe and inclusive Club environment
• Support with set-up, clean-up, and overall organization of program spaces
• Follow all safety, attendance, and incident reporting procedures

• Experience working with youth in a school, camp, or community setting is a plus
• Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or currently enrolled in high school or college
• Must pass a background check and complete required trainings
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
