Sound of Earth is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit working at the intersection of arts, culture, and climate action to catalyze peace through environmental transformation. Through media platforms like Sound of Earth Radio and Records, plus community events ranging from Eco Sundays to Sound of Earth Fest, we amplify voices in the environmental movement and create spaces where music and climate action converge.
We also provide consulting for initiatives like LA Climate Week and are building a digital platform to connect changemakers with sustainability resources. Committed to whole-system sustainability and radical diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, we practice what we preach—leaving no trace at gatherings, sourcing locally, and training community leaders. Through music and community, we’re building a movement for environmental justice one connection at a time.
As a Budget & Finance Manager Intern, you’ll develop detailed project budgets and financial models, gaining hands‑on experience in fiscal management for mission‑driven initiatives. You’ll learn to clarify funding requirements, create budget justifications, and manage financial reporting while ensuring optimal resource allocation.

Students from a wide range of disciplines are encouraged to apply. Experience or coursework in fields such as finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or nonprofit management may be helpful but is not required.
