Job DescriptionThe mission of Corrections Officers (Correctional Officers) is to maintain security and order within the correctional facility, and to support our role in rehabilitating and preparing inmates for reentry. Newly hired employees are paid their base salary to attend our onsite academy in Easton, PA where they will be trained on all the skills and tools required to be successful in this role.

Per union contract, base salary is $20.27 per hour ($42,160 per year) plus shift differential of $0.85. Voluntary and mandatory overtime are both paid at time and a half. Sick leave, vacation, and holidays are available, plus retention bonus, uniform allowance, bereavement, and military leave.
Candidates for Corrections Officer (Correctional Officer) must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and complete an application including short answer and screening questions. The candidate must manually input their work history into their application and attach a clear picture of their driver’s license. Current driver’s license with acceptable driver’s history is required.

Please note that the supplemental questions serve as the written exam. Applicants must answer all questions provided. For the short response questions keep in mind that you will be scored on your responses. Please submit well formulated responses, in sentence format, which appropriately answer each question. After completion of the application, candidates will receive an automated email response confirming submission. Within 5-7 business days applicants will be notified, via email, regarding the results of their exam and the remaining steps of the hiring process.
After initial interview, if hiring manager decides to move forward, candidate must coordinate other pre-employment screenings with manager (at no cost to candidate). This includes a physical, a drug screening, other background checks, and a second interview to discuss background. Results of all pre-employment screenings must be deemed satisfactory before a final offer is considered. All interviews are held in person in Easton, PA.
