Public Health Agent – Dudley

Overview

The Town of Dudley is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Full‑Time Public Health Agent. This position oversees department operations, programs, and grants; supervises staff and volunteers; enforces local, state, and federal public health regulations; conducts inspections; and serves as the technical advisor to the Board of Health.

• Conduct inspections and investigations, preparing reports and enforcement documents
• Supervise public health clinics and staff, manage grants, oversee emergency plans
• Draft regulations and respond to communicable disease and environmental health concerns
• Plan and manage departmental objectives and budget, ensuring regulatory compliance
• Coordinate public health programs and emergency response efforts
• Represent the Town in interactions with state agencies, schools, housing authorities, and community partners

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public health or related field
• 3–5 years of experience in public health
• Valid Class D driver’s license

This Grade 4 position offers a pay range of $33.18 to $38.31 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Competitive retirement and benefits package.

Attendance at Board of Health meetings, typically held one Tuesday night per month, is required.
