Sr. Director, Category Management, Restaurant Solutions

National DCP, LLC is seeking a Sr. Director of Category Management to lead our Restaurant Solutions team. The role is based in Duluth, GA and reports directly to the EVP, Restaurant Solutions.

Overview

The Sr. Director will oversee category management, supplier, cost, risk, and performance management to support Dunkin’s 10,000+ franchises. This role contributes to growth and profitability through sourcing strategy optimization, supplier relationship building, and continuous improvement. Responsibilities span category portfolio oversight, talent strategy, enterprise supplier strategy, and technology adoption. Additional responsibilities include managing indirect procurement for kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, and store‑level services.

Responsibilities
  • Scope of Responsibility (SDCM)
    • Set department vision, priorities, and organizational goals.
    • Oversee category portfolio performance (cost, innovation, risk, supplier diversity).
    • Build alignment with NDCP leadership and Dunkin’/Inspire stakeholders.
    • Develop talent strategy including hiring, coaching, training, retention, and succession planning.
    • Lead enterprise supplier strategy and partnerships.
    • Drive continuous improvement, process development, and technology adoption.
    • Owner of board‑level and executive leadership updates.
  • Team Leadership & Performance Management
    • Lead the Category Management and Supplier Management functions for new restaurant builds, remodels, and service delivery.
    • Negotiate landed cost and execute contracts with standard terms.
    • Develop new program offerings to enhance member experience.
    • Collaborate with Dunkin’/Inspire teams on New Store/Remodeling, R&D, Operations Services, and franchisees.
    • Conduct RFx processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP) and produce executive summaries.
    • Maintain an efficient supplier base.
  • Project & Process Management
    • Lead cross‑functional initiatives with PMP, SCRUM, Six Sigma, or Prosci experience.
    • Design, standardize, and improve category management processes aligned with NDCP operating standards and SAP workflows.
    • Drive structured change management and tool adoption with CI and PMO.
  • Financial & ERP (SAP) Expertise
    • Understand ERP‑based financial processes (invoicing, inventory, goods receipts, GL).
    • Partner with Finance for accurate item, price, and supplier setup.
    • Ensure sourcing decisions translate correctly into SAP transactions.
    • Leverage ERP and CRM data for cost, margin, and reporting insights.
Qualifications
  • 7–10 years in category management and strategic sourcing.
  • Proven track record leading and developing teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and a process‑oriented, technology‑forward mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Collaborative, team‑first approach with strong business relationship skills.
  • Organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Proactive, quality‑focused drive.
  • Experience in a food service, restaurant, or franchise environment is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain, business, or finance.
