Associate Director of Education and Outreach at the Hudgens Company Description

The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning is a non-profit organization based in the Greater Atlanta area, established 40 years ago. The center is dedicated to fostering a love for art and education through fine art exhibitions, arts enrichment classes, community outreach programs, and self-guided tours. Role Description

This is an on-site, part-time role for a Painting Fine Arts Instructor at The Hudgens Center for Art & Learning, located in Lawrenceville, GA. The instructor will be responsible for designing and teaching painting classes to students of varying ages and skill levels. Tasks will include creating lesson plans, guiding participants through artistic techniques, fostering creativity, and providing constructive feedback. The role will also include managing class materials, coordinating with the center for scheduling, and ensuring a positive and inclusive learning experience for all participants.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in painting techniques, fine arts practices, and a strong artistic portfolio
  • Experience developing and teaching art classes or workshops to diverse groups of students
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students of all ages and learning styles
  • Ability to manage class logistics, organize materials, and maintain a safe and inclusive environment
  • Flexibility, creativity, and passion for inspiring others through art
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or a related field
  • Prior experience in community arts organizations or similar settings is a plus

Starting pay: $30/hour
