Duties, Responsibilities & OtherKCI Surveying and Mapping Southis seeking a Senior Utility Coordinator to support the continued growth of our Utility Coordination Practice in Georgia. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of five years of GDOT Utility Coordination experience, along with additional experience working with other state agencies and/or municipalities. This role involves reviewing plans for major highway construction projects, including structures and complex, multi-phase construction, and identifying potential impacts to existing utility infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Obtain utility contact and facility owner information
- Obtain, evaluate and provide recommendations to client regarding prior rights claims
- Review utility plan or records, work with utility owners to address utility conflicts
- Lead and/or facilitate internal and external meetings regarding utility specific activities
- Coordinate with DOT's and local municipalities as required
- Ensure that DOT's requirements for utility certification are met
- Experience in an engineering, surveying or Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) related field a plus
- Assist UC project managers and practice leaders in developing and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients including travel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Normal office environment with field site visits for work related tasks including field data collection, field meetings (with and without client) or other required field duties as required
Education and/or Skills Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in AutoCAD
Experience with Microsoft Suite;
Photoshop and Google Earth
Valid Driver’s License
