- Develop construction documents utilizing best practices, calculations and other engineering skills to support indicated scope, schedule, budget and client expectations.
- Apply knowledge of codes, rules and regulations that apply to each project type.
- Research and investigate technical data; prepare reports, permit and funding applications.
- Conduct site visits; address RFIs, pay applications, punch lists, and other construction administrative duties.
- Establish and maintain effective communications with clients, consultants and internal design team.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and lead small projects.
- Assist project manager and marketing with building proposals, schedules and budgets.
- Attend conferences and actively participate in professional organizations.
- Support project manager with invoicing, progress reports, close-out data, etc.
- Assist clients with unforeseen needs that can help advance projects or initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Georgia or South Carolina PE Licensure (or immediate reciprocity ability).
- 6+ years of experience in commercial/industrial site development, parks & recreation, stormwater (preferred).
- Proficient with Civil 3D, CAD, GIS and Office tools; ability to learn new software.
- Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling programs (e.g., HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SSA, Hydraflow).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to thrive in a team.
- Ability to represent our brand by treating clients and colleagues with courtesy and respect.
Work is primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to project sites for construction review and contract administration. Fieldwork may involve exposure to weather, traffic, and loud noise, with walking over uneven surfaces and varied terrains.
