Duties & Responsibilities

We have an immediate need for a Project Surveyor in Georgia. This role involves leading and overseeing complex survey projects, managing survey teams, ensuring compliance with industry and legal standards, and providing technical leadership. The ideal candidate is a licensed surveyor with at least 10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead traditional survey preparations, including field data collection and creating survey maps for various projects.
  • Manage and oversee 3D mapping projects using terrestrial, mobile, and aerial LiDAR, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling techniques.
  • Coordinate work across disciplines, ensuring integration of survey data into project plans.
  • Perform drafting/CADD work, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct site visits, collecting measurements, sketches, notes, and photographs.
  • Mentor and train staff, guiding professional development.
  • Manage staff performance appraisals and routine work assignments.
  • Ensure project compliance with ISO standards and operate within budget.
  • Achieve or exceed utilization targets, ensuring productivity.
  • Participate in project meetings and report on progress.
  • Manage project tasks, ensuring timely and within-scope completion.
  • Prepare and process survey data, including deed research and boundary determination.
  • Interpret technical documents related to survey projects.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in survey mapping, 3D modeling, and field data collection.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in CADD software and survey tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of survey methodologies, standards, and regulations.
Licenses & Certifications
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or Professional Surveyor & Mapper (PSM) license.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Ability to maintain certifications.
