Overview
Keck & Wood, Inc. is an employee-owned consulting firm with four offices in Georgia and South Carolina, serving Community Development, Transportation and Utility clients. We are seeking a Project Manager – Roadway to lead GDOT and local government projects, manage multiple projects, and mentor team members. This position offers a growth path toward Senior Project Manager and/or Engineer.
Responsibilities- Manage scope, schedule, budget and client expectations
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and design staff as needed
- Prepare monthly invoicing and progress reports
- Build and maintain sufficient work backlog for staff utilization
- Act as senior engineer on multiple projects
- Attend conferences and participate in professional organizations
- Connect with clients through visits and touchpoints
- Prepare monthly progress reports
- Perform annual reviews for assigned staff and set growth goals
- Mentor junior-level staff and provide training on design trends, regulations, and codes
The right candidate will bring the skills to address these areas and contribute to complex roadway design and project delivery.
Qualifications- BS Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent
- Five to ten years experience as project manager or senior engineer
- Georgia PE certification, required or immediate reciprocity ability
- Experience with GDOT and local design requirements
- Excellent technical skills and ability to mentor
- Strong written and verbal communication, team-oriented
- Ability to embody our brand by treating clients and employees with courtesy and respect
Work is primarily in an office environment with occasional travel to project sites.
