Overview
The Psychiatric mid-level practitioner (Nurse Practitioner: NP, Clinical Nurse Specialist: CNS, or Physician Assistant: PA) will provide psychiatric services including diagnostic and medication assessment, prescription of psychiatric medications, and medication management. He/she will provide direct services to patients with support of the Behavioral Health Department clinical staff and the psychiatric assistant, and under the direction of a PIHC staff psychiatrist. The Behavioral Health Director supervises the position.
All clinical staff provide care per Standard Operating Procedures and protocols developed by the Behavioral Health Department. The NP/CNS/PA works collaboratively across PIHC Substance Abuse, Client Services, Clinical Care, and Prevention Departments.
- Mater's Degree in Nursing (or higher) or Physician Assistant degree/Program from accredited college or university
- NPI and DEA
- Experience: At least 2 - 5 years of experience as NP/CNS/PA in clinical setting
- License / Licensure: Georgia / Licensed NP, CNS, or PA
