Assistant Clinical Director (ACD)
The Assistant Clinical Director (ACD) provides clinical oversight of ABA services within a center, supports a caseload, and provides ongoing structured mentorship to BCBAs in the center. The ACD is integral to the mentorship and training of BCBAs at the local, in‑center level and demonstrates exemplary clinical, leadership, and mentorship skills.
Responsibilities- Program oversight for a patient caseload: conduct behavioral and skills assessments, develop compassionate behavior intervention plans, complete initial evaluations.
- Training and supervision of RBTs and Fieldwork students: complete competency assessments, ensure supervision hours meet BACB requirements, hold regular RBT POD meetings.
- Family and caregiver engagement: conduct family guidance sessions, identify touchpoints, collaborate on individualized treatment plans, coordinate care with physicians and other therapy teams.
- BCBA mentorship: provide clinical oversight, audit processes, procedural integrity documentation, deliver feedback, and implement the Hopebridge BCBA Mentorship and Training curriculum.

Provides supervision, guidance, and mentorship to BCBAs and BCaBAs within the assigned center in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws, and ensures clinical competence and performance of RBTs and Fieldwork students.
Position Type / Expected HoursThis is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Qualifications- Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a closely related field.
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing with the BACB.
- At least two years of certification with the BACB as a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst.
- Experience with skill assessments and curricula (e.g., VB‑MAPP, ABLLS‑R, EFL, AFLS, PEAK).
- Substantial experience with behavioral assessments such as Practical Functional Assessments.
- Strong background in behavior reduction program development and oversight.
- Meets the BACB qualifications to supervise BCAs, those pursuing certification, and RBTs.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, provide leadership coaching, and train advanced‑skilled BCBAs effectively.
- Responsibility to manage and communicate with leaders and executive‑level staff.
- Ability to instruct and coach peers on the principles and ethics of Applied Behavior Analysis to professionals and non‑professionals.
- Experience providing supervision to BCBA.
- Experience with both Medicaid and private‑insurance patients preferred.
- Experience with Practical Functional Assessment and skill‑based treatment.
