Cardiac Anesthesiology Assistant Resource at Northside Hospital Gwinnett

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

• Work under the direction of licensed anesthesiologists to implement anesthesia care plans.
• Operate exclusively within the anesthesia care team environment as defined by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
• Deliver and maintain quality anesthesia care and advanced patient monitoring techniques.
• Perform anesthesia care and necessary perioperative or operating room care to support patient safety and wellbeing.
• Operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of anesthesia-related equipment.

The company is looking for:

• Current active state licensure as an Anesthesiologist Assistant in Georgia, complying with all applicable state requirements.
• Master's degree in Anesthesia.
• Cardiac experience in the EP or Cath Lab.
• Insurability by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer as required.
• Demonstrated current competency in clinical responsibilities.
• Ability to perform clinically as an anesthetist regularly in the facility setting.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with clinical staff and other disciplines.
• Knowledge and skills to provide care appropriate to the patient populations served, including understanding growth and development principles over the lifespan.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control techniques.
• Ability to maintain confidential records and adhere to facility policies and procedures.
• Preferred qualifications: One year of experience, CVOR experience, and certification by the National Commission for Certification of Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA).
