Impact you will have: As Vice President of Utility Innovation & Sustainability, you will lead sustainability communications, reporting and compliance, benchmark QTS and drive ESG data and disclosures.
Responsibilities- Management and analysis of firm’s ESG data across funds and Business Units.
- Responsible for oversight and reporting of ESG related disclosures where applicable; annual ESG report, TCFD report, and 10-K/10 report.
- Work across Corporate Affairs and Finance to create and implement disclosure controls and procedures.
- Ensure data sources used in reporting ESG disclosures are strategic and tactical and develop business requirements.
- Subject matter expert on ESG disclosures, keeping current on evolving disclosure trends and advising on emerging regulation.
- Ensure that ESG disclosure requirements are properly vetted and implemented in a well‑controlled process from end‑to‑end.
- Review all public and internal ESG disclosures to ensure information is materially accurate and produced in a well‑controlled process.
- Coordinating internal audits or other external reviews of the information within Blackstone’s ESG disclosures.
- Co‑cultivating and maintaining relationships with Business Units on ESG disclosures and any related implications.
- Bachelor’s degree in business management, construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to motivate and inspire cross‑functional teams.
- Review and reporting on customer and peer ESG data.
- Forward‑thinking mindset with the ability to anticipate future opportunities and challenges and commitment to achieving measurable results.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Ten or more years in a communications role for accounting or legal departments.
- Experience with government emissions auditing.
- Focus on Energy, Carbon, Water ESG reporting and programs.
