Job Overview

Employee Benefits Sr. Client Manager (SCM) partners with the Producer or Client Executive to implement a client’s employee benefits strategy, create communication materials, conduct open enrollment sessions, manage compliance documentation, and deliver day‑to‑day client support.

Service Responsibilities
  • Serve as first point of contact, building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Collaborate with producers and team members to implement comprehensive service plans.
  • Coordinate open enrollment meetings, including preparation and distribution of communications.
  • Complete COBRA paperwork for renewals and new group setups.
  • Distribute resources on benefit trends, legislation, and regulations.
  • Work with compliance and Client Executive (CE) to advise on reporting and compliance resources.
  • Maintain client and benefit plan data in EPIC’s CRM.
  • Resolve simple claims and coordinate escalated claims with the claims department.
  • Address enrollment, eligibility, billing, and client issues.
  • Communicate with the assigned CE on all client events.
  • Participate in training and mentoring events with the CE.
  • Coordinate meetings and updates as needed.
Personal and Organizational Development
  • Set priorities with the CE; manage workflow to meet goals.
  • Update proposals, workflow logs, and benefits documentation in the agency management system.
  • Interact effectively with others, exercising strong communication skills.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, new products, and legislation to continuously improve performance.
  • Project a professional image in action and appearance.
What You’ll Bring
  • Full knowledge of employee benefits coverage lines and services.
  • Intermediate Internet navigation and Microsoft Office skills (Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel).
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Multi‑tasking and priority setting abilities.
  • Teamwork and independent work skills without direct supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral interpersonal communications.
  • Experience with agency management systems and HR portals.
  • High school diploma required; some college preferred.
  • Prefer five or more years’ experience as a Client Manager in benefits consulting, brokerage, insurance carrier, or TPA.
  • Ability to juggle multiple competing tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • High level of interpersonal skills for sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Life and Health License or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
Compensation

Base pay will be determined based on experience, skills, training, certifications, and education, while considering internal equity and market data.
